Your plan renews automatically each year; we email you 30 days before, and you can cancel any time. Bigger jobs, like extra locations or moving email off an old web host, are quoted before you pay. Pricing questions
Does every business pay the same price?
Yes. One plan, one published price, whether you’re a brand-new food truck or a shop that’s been on Main Street for forty years. No quotes to haggle over, and no surprises.
I already pay for Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy. Is this more?
Probably less. Most of those plans cost $200–450 a year, and you do all the work. With Smart & Main you pay $149 a year after the first, and we make your changes for you.
Can I use the web address I already have?
Yes. Connecting an address you already own takes extra care, so it’s a one-time $50. We point it at your new site and don’t touch your existing email. A brand-new address is included in your plan.
What if I want to leave later?
No problem. Just cancel before your renewal date, and we’ll send you a copy of your website files so you can host them anywhere. If you kept your own web address, it was always yours. If we set one up for you, it’s registered to us and expires when your plan ends, and we’ll give you time to save your email first.
What counts as an update?
One round of changes sent together, like new holiday hours and a new photo in the same email. Four a year are included, and extras are $25 each.
